Soccer Game Preview: Georgia Military College vs. Dooly County

The Georgia Military College Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Dooly County Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Georgia Military College comes in on five and Dooly County on 11.

Georgia Military College's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Treutlen as Georgia Military College made off with a 10-0 victory. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Their offense was hitting Treutlen from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Tommy Carty led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dooly County). They put the hurt on Hawkinsville with a sharp 10-1 win on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 8-1.

Dooly County pushed their record up to 11-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those five matchups. As for Georgia Military College, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Georgia Military College took their victory against Dooly County in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 10-1. In that game, Georgia Military College amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
