Football Game Preview: Marist Spartans vs. Philomath Warriors + How To Watch

Marist is a perfect 3-0 against Philomath since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marist's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Cottage Grove. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Philomath beat Junction City 27-21 on Friday.

Philomath's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Marist, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Marist against Philomath in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
