Softball Recap: Charlton County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Atkinson County on Tuesday, Charlton County came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Lanier County Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 9-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Charlton County's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Lanier County, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Charlton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against Bacon County on the 15th. As for Lanier County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Irwin County on the 16th.
