Soccer Game Preview: Northview vs. Covina

Northview hasn't had much luck against Covina recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Northview Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Covina Colts at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northview is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 5-2 to Charter Oak.

Khloe Lopez and Alexis Rivera scored both of Northview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Covina managed to keep up with West Covina until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Covina came up short against West Covina, falling 3-0. The Colts haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Covina's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northview, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.

Everything went Northview's way against Covina in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Northview made off with a 5-2 win. In that matchup, Northview amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
