Soccer Game Preview: Weed vs. Trinity

Weed has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will head out to take on the Trinity Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

While the 5-5 score might suggest a draw, it was Modoc who was credited with the win on Tuesday.

Trinity is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Mt. Shasta, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Mt. Shasta are ranked seventh).

Trinity has now lost five of their last six games on the road. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-6-1 record this season. As for Weed, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 10 matches, dating back to last year. That leaves them at a 1-5 record this season.
