Football Recap: North Takes a Loss

North lost against East back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The RedHawks took a blow against the Aces, falling 73-7. While losing is never fun, the RedHawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Aces are ranked 45th).

Armoni Lopez threw for 91 yards and one touchdown. Kamerynn Shortt was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and one score.

North's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North is set to take on their familiar foe Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East will face off against rival Bishop Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
