Basketball Recap: West Valley Takes a Loss

West Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Tahquitz Titans, falling 59-19. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-41 back in January.

Vanessa Garcia was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double with 25 points, 23 boards, and 11 assists for Tahquitz. That makes it three consecutive games in which Garcia has scored at least a third of Tahquitz's points. Reyna Garcia was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Tahquitz, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

West Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-21 loss against San Jacinto on the 3rd. As for Tahquitz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-58 defeat against Temescal Canyon on the 5th.
