Meanwhile, Fairmont won against Springboro on Tuesday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. The Firebirds came out on top in a nail-biter against Walnut Hills, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that Fairmont have won by just one goal.

St. Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-4. As for Fairmont, their win bumped their record up to 14-3-2.
