Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only High Tech NC walked away with it. They walked away with a 39-30 win over the Mountain Empire Redhawks on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Raptor, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bibi Caceres, who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Caceres a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carli McGhee, who put up nine points.

High Tech NC's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points over those games. As for Mountain Empire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Coming up, High Tech NC will square off against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. High Tech NC's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Coronado's offense will have their work cut out for them. Mountain Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
