Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Comes Up Short

Schuylerville and Cairo-Durham squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Schuylerville had to settle for second. They fell 5-1 to the Mustangs.

Schuylerville got a good showing from Alex Palmer, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The Horses are 5-2 when Palmer allows three or fewer earned runs, but 6-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Schuylerville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Morris, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Schuylerville's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Cairo-Durham, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Schuylerville nor Cairo-Durham have any future games scheduled.
