Basketball Recap: Biglerville Skates Past York County Tech with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bermudian Springs, Biglerville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the York County Tech Spartans, posting a 52-24 win. The game marked the Canners' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Biglerville had a senior duo take command as Kierney Weigle almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals and Ava Peterson went 5 of 9 on her way to 18 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylie Brewer, who posted six points.

Biglerville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for York County Tech, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biglerville will head out to take on James Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for York County Tech, they will venture away from home to challenge Dover at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
