Basketball Recap: South Western Takes a Loss

South Western and Red Lion squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but South Western had to settle for second. They lost 50-29 to the Red Lion Lions. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Lions are ranked 17th).

Leading Red Lion to victory were Reagan Smith and Julia Sedora. Smith went 6-for-10 on her way to 17 points, while Sedora went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points. Sedora is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bekah Sedora, who posted six points.

South Western's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Red Lion, their win bumped their record up to 24-2.

South Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Red Lion has already played their next match (against Central York), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
