Soccer Recap: Oak Hills Drops Highest Score of Season Against Burroughs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Hills). They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Burroughs Burros on Thursday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Burros are ranked 1108th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Hills' offense was hitting Burroughs from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kaylin Huete Ramirez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Oak Hills is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those seven games. As for Burroughs, they dropped their record down to 0-19-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Oak Hills will head out to challenge Serrano at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Burroughs, they will challenge Apple Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Apple Valley will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Burroughs surely won't give up without a fight.
