Basketball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. Tracy Bulldogs

Kimball is 9-0 against Tracy since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Kimball Jaguars will host the Tracy Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Kimball is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.

If Tracy heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Kimball took over last week. Kimball skirted past West 39-36. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 729th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kimball's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Peyton Arline, who posted four points in addition to 12 rebounds and three steals, and Emma Coronado, who earned 19 points. Coronado's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaiya Garcia, who scored three points.

Meanwhile, Tracy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Bruins, posting a 52-20 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bulldogs have posted since December 27, 2024.

Tracy now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Kimball, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Kimball came out on top in a nail-biter against Tracy when the teams last played on January 7th, sneaking past 38-36. Will Kimball repeat their success, or does Tracy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
