Soccer Recap: Torres Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Torres had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Monache Marauders on Wednesday as the Torres Toros made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Toros, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Monache from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Elihanna Gallegos led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Torres has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those nine games. As for Monache, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Torres will host Kerman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive. Monache does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
