Football Recap: JP Reyes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Abilene

Midland Legacy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Abilene Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Midland Legacy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JP Reyes out in front who threw for 472 yards and three TDs while completing 78.9% of his passes. Hayes Hamm helped Reyes out on the ground, rushing for 137 yards and three scores.

Midland Legacy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Abilene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
