Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carver last Monday, Washington came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Therrell Panthers on Wednesday, falling 16-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Therrell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
