Soccer Recap: Bainbridge's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

If Bainbridge was riding high fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Dougherty on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats fell just short of the Cairo Syrupmakers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Bainbridge were red-hot offensively heading into the game (they scored no less than four goals in the five matchups prior), but Cairo's defense proved too tough.

Bainbridge's goal came courtesy of Jose Bonilla-Ortiz, who's now up to 18 this season.
