Softball Recap: David Emanuel Academy Drops Season-High Score on Central Fellowship Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask David Emanuel Academy). They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Aubrey Scott was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and four runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September of 2024.

In other batting news, Payton Peebles was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Kaley Flowers was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

David Emanuel Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

David Emanuel Academy's record is now 11-1. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, David Emanuel Academy will head out on the road to challenge Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they will take on Windsor Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
