Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Skates Past Cristo Rey with Ease

There's no place like home for Victory Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They breezed past the Cristo Rey Saints to the tune of 50-2 on Tuesday. The team accrued 38 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Victory Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michelle Bacchi out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Those 19 points gave Bacchi a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaclyn Bacchi, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

The victory got Victory Christian back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian will take on Highlands in a tournament on December 4. As for Cristo Rey, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 8.
