Football Recap: St. David's Comes Up Short

St. David had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-6 to make it five. They were outmatched by the Cary Christian Knights and fell 54-19. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-7.

Spence Saik threw for 127 yards and one TD. Grant Simpson was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards.

As for Cary Christian, their record now sits at 9-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Reed Harvey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 290 yards and four touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards and one score on only five carries. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Cennoth Kalisiak was Harvey's top target, picking up 156 receiving yards and three TDs.

St. David's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cary Christian, they will welcome Wake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
