Concordia's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 27-26 photo finish over the Beloit Trojans. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 28-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Concordia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ayden Krier led the charge by picking up 76 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Braytin Hake handled things on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Concordia didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Beloit to a completion percentage of just 48.1%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65%.

Concordia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Krier and Rush LeDuc.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joel Rexroat, who rushed for 111 yards on only 12 carries.

The victory got Concordia back to even at 1-1. As for Beloit, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concordia will host Abilene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beloit, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
