Softball Recap: Etowah's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Etowah finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against the North Paulding Wolfpack, falling 10-2. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for North Paulding, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Etowah and North Paulding will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Cherokee at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for North Paulding, their break will end when they face Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
