Basketball Game Preview: Galt Warriors vs. Oakmont Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Galt Warriors will jump right back in to play the Oakmont Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Galt comes in on three and Oakmont on five.

Galt's tournament run continued when they took on Del Campo on Friday. Galt came out on top against Del Campo by a score of 29-22.

Galt can attribute much of their success to Skyler Moore, who posted 14 points and five rebounds, and Alexandra Gonzalez Landa, who had four points in addition to nine boards and six steals.

Galt smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

While Oakmont didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They secured a 44-38 W over Casa Roble on Friday.

Galt's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Oakmont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Galt couldn't quite finish off Oakmont when the teams last played back in January of 2020 and fell 45-43. Can Galt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
