Soccer Recap: Providence Christian Academy Victorious

Providence Christian Academy gave up the first goal on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Providence Christian Academy Storm who were credited with the victory. The Providence Christian Academy Storm got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Lanier Longhorns's one. While the Storm didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Providence Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four games. As for Lanier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Providence Christian Academy will face off against Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lanier, they will challenge Johns Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lanier's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
