Maple River added to the longest winning streak in Gopher Valley AA this week by beating United South Central, 22-21. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Eagles.
Medford made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,145 from 9,410. The improvement came about via a 20-8 victory over St. Clair last week.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Waterville-Elysian-Morristown takes on Maple River. The Buccaneers are currently in fourth, while Randy Olson's team is in first.
Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial led the league in scoring this week by notching 28 points on Loyola.
