Basketball Game Preview: Alameda Hornets vs. San Leandro Pirates

The Alameda Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the San Leandro Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alameda will be strutting in after a victory while San Leandro will be coming in after a loss.

If San Leandro heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Alameda took over last week. Alameda came out on top against Chico by a score of 62-53 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, San Leandro came up short against Pittsburg on Monday and fell 46-38. San Leandro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alameda's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for San Leandro, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Alameda strolled past San Leandro in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 49-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alameda since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
