Soccer Recap: Nitro Falls Short Against Ranked Greenbrier East

Nitro faced Greenbrier East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Nitro couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Camryn Warner, who's now up to six this season.

Nitro's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Greenbrier East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

Nitro didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Buffalo on the 25th. As for Greenbrier East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Oak Hill on the 23rd.
