With a playoff win on the line, Jackson County rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 24-19 W over the Milton Eagles. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won ten games in a row.

Jackson County found their leader in sophomore Daylan Maxwell, who rushed for 193 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Maxwell is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Jackson County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 157 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Milton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ben Halevi, who threw for 179 yards and two TDs. Milton also got a significant boost from Bentley Hickman, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 117 yards.

Jackson County's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Jackson County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 31-17 defeat against Rome on the 28th. Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
