Volleyball Recap: Pleasanton Comes Up Short

Pleasanton extended their losing streak to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 8-8. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blanco Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

As for Blanco, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-15 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 16th.

Lily Bendele was nothing short of spectacular: she had 16 digs and two aces. Kamryn Gaskamp was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

Pleasanton has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Jefferson on the 2nd. As for Blanco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Veterans Memorial on the 30th.
