Football Recap: Damian Figueroa's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tuloso-Midway over Carroll

If Tuloso-Midway was feeling good fresh off their 57-7 takedown of Hebbronville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors & Cherokees took a hard 28-14 fall against the Carroll Tigers on Friday. The contest marked the Warriors & Cherokees' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tuloso-Midway lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Damian Figueroa, who rushed for 187 yards and one score. Figueroa is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Arriaga, who rushed for 73 yards on only seven carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tuloso-Midway fell to 4-1. As for Carroll, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Tuloso-Midway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-7 victory against Alice on the 3rd. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 64-14 win against King on the 3rd.
