Saxony Lutheran dropped down to 7-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the North County Raiders by a score of 1-0. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Saxony Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ansley Palisch, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Mabrie Barke also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Saxony Lutheran will face off against Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for North County, they will take on Sikeston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.71 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
