Soccer Recap: Marymount Takes a Loss

Marymount was the 3-1 winner over Sierra Canyon when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Marymount Sailors came up short against the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers on Tuesday, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Sailors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Trailblazers are ranked 86th).

Marymount's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-3. As for Sierra Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.

Marymount will be playing at home against Louisville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Marymount is facing Louisville at the right time seeing as Louisville is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Sierra Canyon has already played their next matchup (against Harvard-Westlake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
