Softball Recap: Seckinger's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Seckinger and Effingham County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Seckinger had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-3 defeat on Monday.

Megan Whitt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ma'At Willis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Seckinger's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-11. As for Effingham County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Seckinger nor Effingham County have any future games scheduled.
