Football Recap: New Britain Continues Home Dominance on Friday + How To Watch

New Britain won the last time they faced Southington and Jayden Allen did his part to make sure it happened again. The Golden Hurricanes claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Blue Knights for which the team can thank Allen, who rushed for 240 yards and four scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Allen is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 117 every time he's taken the field this season.

New Britain's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Southington, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

New Britain and Southington will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Golden Hurricanes see the field they'll take on Glastonbury at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Southington, their break will end when they face Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
