Soccer Recap: Norwalk Comes Up Short

Norwalk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ames Little Cyclones. That's two games in a row now that Norwalk have lost by just one goal.

Norwalk now has a losing record of 5-6-2. As for Ames, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-1 record this season.

Norwalk wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Roland-Story on the 3rd. As for Ames, they will be playing at home against Ankeny Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
