Football Recap: Anderson Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Anderson won the last time they faced Kings and things went their way on Friday too. The Raptors put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 49-24 win. Fans of the Raptors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Anderson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Scalf out in front who threw for 413 yards and seven TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 43 yards. Those seven passing touchdowns gave Scalf a new career-high. 124 of Scalf's passing yards were hauled in by Tegan Jallick, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Anderson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Antwoine Higgins Jr. refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks, making eight total tackles, and defending one pass.

The win keeps Anderson at an undefeated 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 47.2 points this season. As for Kings, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
