Baseball Recap: White County Takes a Loss

White County suffered their closest defeat since February 13, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lumpkin County Indians by a score of 8-6. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Alex Freeman led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Cooper Garrett was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

White County's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Lumpkin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

While White County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
