It's playoff time, and Northwestern had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 46-42 win over the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers on Wednesday. The Wildcats' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Makayla Presser-Palmer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 38 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it 23 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northwestern's points. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Bucci, who posted three points and six boards.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 23-0. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Northwestern nor Mercyhurst Prep have any future games scheduled.
