Softball Recap: Freedom Christian Academy Picks Up 32nd Consecutive Victory

Freedom Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Grace Christian Crusaders 9-1. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rylan Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Freedom Christian Academy let Savannah Graham and Victoria Bryant run wild. Graham went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Bryant scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Graham has posted since back in April of 2024. Genesis Lebron also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Freedom Christian Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Grace Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Freedom Christian Academy will square off against Liberty Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something Freedom Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Grace Christian, they will challenge American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.
