Softball Game Preview: Stockbridge Tigers vs. McDonough Warhawks

Stockbridge has gone a perfect 7-0 against McDonough recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will take on the Warhawks at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Stockbridge lost 21-15 to Manchester on Saturday.

Alexandria Williams led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ciara Hall, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, McDonough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-0 to Ola, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

McDonough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Stockbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Stockbridge took their win against McDonough when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Warhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
