Softball Recap: Fayette Takes a Loss

Fayette managed to slip by New Bloomfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons lost 11-1 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Bloomfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Fayette will square off against Linn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Bloomfield, they will take on Sturgeon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
