Baseball Game Preview: Bulloch Academy Gators vs. First Presbyterian Day Vikings

The Bulloch Academy Gators will face off against the First Presbyterian Day Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bulloch Academy 3.4, First Presbyterian Day 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Bulloch Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Gatewood on Tuesday. They fell just short of Gatewood by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Eagles 10-2. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Bulloch Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season. As for First Presbyterian Day, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Bulloch Academy beat First Presbyterian Day 6-2 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
