Soccer Game Preview: Amador Valley vs. Tamalpais

The Amador Valley Dons will challenge the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amador Valley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Amador Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Vintage a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Dons, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tamalpais hasn't lost a match since January 30th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Northgate. Given the Red Tailed Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Broncos are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tamalpais pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Amador Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
