Mountain Empire entered their tilt with Calexico Mission on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went their way against the Calexico Mission RoadRunners as they made off with a 30-8 victory. While the Redhawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mountain Empire's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carli McGhee, who posted 16 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which McGhee has scored at least a third of Mountain Empire's points. Bibi Caceres was another key player, putting up ten points.

Mountain Empire pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.6 points per game. As for Calexico Mission, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Mountain Empire will take on Borrego Springs in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Empire's defense has only allowed 18.4 points per game this season, so Borrego Springs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Calexico Mission, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Warner at 4:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
