Softball Recap: Springville Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Springville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Midland Eagles 12-2. Considering the Orioles have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Springville pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Midland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springville beat the Eagles by a score of 9-5 later that day.
