Preview: Elliot Christian Eagles vs. Millennium Falcons
Elliot Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Millennium Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Elliot Christian posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Turlock Christian 46-22. Given Elliot Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while Turlock Christian is ranked 1328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bella Perry was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six assists and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Elliot Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Knatiya Middleton, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Millennium didn't have too much trouble with Stone Ridge Christian on the road on Friday as they won 48-31.
Elliot Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Millennium, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.
Things could have been worse for Elliot Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Millennium in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Elliot Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
