Baseball Recap: Callaway Takes Down Coahulla Creek in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Callaway rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Coahulla Creek Colts.

Not much got past Blake Harrington, who gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Coahulla Creek off the board. Harrington also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Callaway is 10-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Jaxon Duncan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Callaway's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Coahulla Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.

Callaway will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Colts: the pair will be back at it again later today.
