Soccer Recap: Kennesaw Mountain Comes Up Short

Kennesaw Mountain and Clarke Central squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Kennesaw Mountain had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Kennesaw Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Clarke Central are ranked 16th).

Kennesaw Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Clarke Central, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Kennesaw Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarke Central, they will challenge Sprayberry on Tuesday. Sprayberry will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Clarke Central surely won't give up without a fight.
