Football Recap: Godinez Fundamental Takes a Loss

If Godinez Fundamental was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Santa Ana Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies were beaten by the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros 35-6 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Vaqueros: they've now lost seven in a row.

Damien Arreola threw for 69 yards on nine of 26 attempts. On the ground, Damian Navarro rushed for 76 yards on only nine carries.

Godinez Fundamental now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Rancho Alamitos, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Godinez Fundamental will face off against Katella at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rancho Alamitos, they will venture away from home to take on Garden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
